Managing LINE Group Chats in HubSpot

How to Automatically Link LINE Group Chats as Company Records for Better Workflow Automation

This feature allows you to track LINE group chats that your LINE Official Account is invited to, by treating them as HubSpot Company Objects.

By doing so, you can manage group chats similarly to how you handle individual LINE users as HubSpot Contacts — but with companies representing group chats.

Key Points

  • LINE users in the same group chat can be tracked as Contacts associated with the Company Object.

  • However, both conditions below must be met due to LINE API limitations:

    1. The user must have added your LINE Official Account as a friend.

    2. The user must have taken action in the group chat (e.g., sent a message).

How to Enable the Feature

To enable this feature, follow these steps:

1. Enable Group Chat Participation in LINE Official Account Manager

In the LINE Official Account Manager:
Click Settings shown in the top right hand side of the page.

E1

  • Go to Account Settings
    In Toggle features,
→ Find the option "Group and multi-person chats"
→ Enable: Allow account to join groups and multi-person chats.

    E2

2. Enable the Group Chat Management in Little Help Connect

In Little Help Connect:

  • Go to:
Channels → LINE Official Accounts → [Select your LINE Official Account] → Settings → Integration Options

  • Toggle ON:
"Manage group chat as company object"

Once enabled, whenever your LINE Official Account is added to a group chat, that group chat will automatically be saved as a Company Object in HubSpot.

Tips for Effective Use

To ensure group members are properly tracked:

  • Encourage them to add your LINE Official Account.

  • Use prompts or bots to get members to interact in the group chat.
(e.g., send a welcome message with a "Quick Reply" or reaction prompt.)

Only then can group members be automatically created as Contacts and associated with the relevant Company Object.
